Can anyone say HAWAII?

I am sure many of you have heard that Pete and I went to Hawaii with no kiddos last week and I am also sure that you have all been waiting and watching every few mins wondering when I was going to post something about all the crazy and wild things we did. Well I thought I would put you all out of your misery and give you what you want.

So incase you haven't heard, there has been alot going on in our house over the last six months. We truely have been doing great but I will admit that there have been days when we have just been surviving. So Pete and I decided we needed to find a time when just the two of us could take off somewhere warm and sunny to get some R&R. We've been to Hawaii three years ago and loved everything about it so we thought "why not go back?". We found a time we could get away and a time we could get Pete's mom out to watch the kiddos and we were set to go. Pete and I flew out last wednesday and got upgraded to First Class! That was great seeing that it was the longest flight I have yet to fly. We got to our resort, checked in, walked around and then headed to dinner. We had a very yummy dinner and then walked back along the ocean! Paradise! Only as we were walking my stomach began to hurt. Dum Dum Dum!!!!

The entire night I was up getting sick and not sleeping! The next day Pete began to feel yucky and for the whole first day that we were in paradise the both of us were sick. NOT FUN! Thankfully the next day we woke up feeling much much better. So I didn't waste anytime and I went straight to the pool where the sun was HOT and I began to read! Pete actually enjoyed sitting out by the pool and soaking up the rays himself. That was a great surprise because usually he is to antsy to sit still. So there we were getting nice and brown and reading. To make things interesting we did sit on the beach a few days. Ha ha! When I said that we did lots of crazy and wild things I meant sitting in the sun with 30SPF while finishing 3 whole books.

I am sorry to let any of you down but as of vacations, this one was at the top! Our goal was to go and enjoy doing NOTHING but to soak up the sun and read! We did it! We got there and didn't leave the resort the entire time! It was so perfect!

Below are a few pictures!

The view from our balcony!

Enjoying our first morning feeling well

Each morning we would take a 3 mile walk down the coast

Thank you Gma Kim and Auntie Serena!

Posted by: Keeton

Thank you Gma Kim and Auntie Na Na! This last week Mom Mom and Dada went away to where the sun was hot and sunny. I'm not sure why they went and didn't take us but they say one day I will understand. But to be honest it was OK with me! Gma Kim and Auntie Na Na both came to see us and WE HAD FUN! We got to go play at Focus on the Family and at the playland at Chick-fil-a, go get LOTS of prizes and play, play, PLAY! It was like a vaca for me and sissy too! It was so great! Gma got all my hints! She noticed how much I LOOVE Cars and anything about the movie "Cars", she also learned quick how much I LOOVE going bye-bye so she took me on lots of special trips just her and me! It was sooooo much fun. I also got to talk to Mom Mom and Dada on the computer and show them all the fun prizes that I got. Every time I saw Mom Mom and Dada they looked like they were having fun so I didn't feel so bad that I was having so much fun without them. Today they got home and I was excited to see them. In some ways it seemed like they were gone for a long, long time but in in some ways it seemed like they were gone for only a couple of days. Mom Mom gave me LOTS of kisses it was sorta getting annoying and Dada was running and playing with me. As much fun as I had with Gma and Na Na, I am happy to have my Mom Mom and Dada back. They seem to be a little happier and my Dada isn't the only one who is brown. My Mom Mom looks a little browner too. I think that makes her happy. So my Gma and Na Na are both gone and back in Arizona so I am going to miss them but I will be excited to see them again hopefully soon.

When Pete's gone...

Why is it that when Pete is out of town the kids decide to NOT sleep?

Last night I was up till 11pm trying to get Mia to go to sleep to only have her asleep for a few hours and to be awaken AGAIN two more times by her. Now tonight I am up and it is past 10pm still trying to get Keeton to sleep. WHY? I have put Keeton to bed, I don't know how many times to hear the pitter patter of little feet walking up the stairs saying "hi mom mom" (this is the new name he has for me) I walk to the top of the stairs and he has this huge grin on his face and he is coming up like he just woke up from his nap and he is ready to go. So after many attempts not working, I think, "ok, I will be the fun mom and let him sleep with me". Yeah right, nice try! That lasted about 10 mins when he kept talking to me, moving around and hanging off the bed upside down. So back down stairs with threats and everything.
I am now in bed, trying to relax and watch some reruns of the "Office" to hear, again, small footsteps coming up the stairs. I wait to see what he does and sure enough the footsteps get closer but they are not sounding like they did about 20 mins ago. Remember I am home alone with the kids and now the footsteps I am hearing are the sounds of shoes on the wood floors. My heart has completely sunk and to my terrified relief, Keeton walks into my room wearing his snow boots. WHAT? Do not ask me how and when he got his boots and put them on over his fleece footie jamies but he did and he totally freaked me out.
It must have been God's silly sense of humor when he made our children capable of getting us so frustrated and by doing something so adorable, they can make us laugh! Thank you Lord! SO now I am back, in bed, trying to relax since I have NOT had the chance tonight yet, watching the "Office", hoping that BOTH of my little people are falling fast asleep in their OWN beds!

GOODNITE!

"hi mom, mom!"

"I love it when daddy is out of town! Party!"

my first post

I have lived far away from my family and many friends for almost 8 years now and it seem so hard to believe. I miss seeing the people I love so much everyday and sharing with them the joys and trials of life, family and new experiences. I have enjoyed reading blogs of some of those people and it has helped me feel like I am still there. I thought I would give into the peer pressure and start a blog too. I don't know how good I am going to be at this but I think it could be fun.
I know EVERYONE feels this way about their family but I will say I have the BEST family a girl could want! I mean come on, how many of you have a husband who would not only surprise you with Taylor Swift tickets but also go and sit through a concert with 11 year old girls behind him singing every single word to every single song as loud as they could right in his ear. I"ll tell you who.... I DO! In addition to having one of the best husbands in the world, I have the most adorable little boy EVER! Keeton is two and I think he is the smartest and most handsome little man out there! I know you are thinking "Wow, Kim is a lucky girl! I wish I had that!" But there is more. As I am about to brag about my beautiful blue eyed daughter Mia, she is screaming her head off in her room and it is 10:15pm and she is STILL not asleep! But we will pretend that isn't happening because that is what us parents do when we are about to brag about our children, is forget about the times that you could scream! So anyway, Mia! Mia is our four month old blue eyed diva! When I say Diva I mean DIVA! She is going to be a girl who knows what she wants and won't accept anything less! Now tell me what else you could want in a daughter but one who is going to go out in the world and not take any crap from anyone! So all that to say I think I am a pretty blessed gal and I love my family, all the good the bad and the ugly!
